“Boomwhackers® are great for bringing people together, such as a group of
kids wanting to have fun and learn to play and read music,”
explains Craig Ramsell, president of Whacky
Music, Inc. “They are also perfect for teambuilding, creativity, and even
stress relief!” | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Six different sets
are available – five of the six sets
combine to create 2½ chromatic octaves
(including sharps/flats) – while the sixth set, the C Major Pentatonic Scale, contains 6 of the 8 tubes of the C Major Diatonic Scale. The standard, or higher octave, range in length
between about one and
two feet, and the bass octave tubes range from about 2 to 4 feet.
The Treble Extension Set ranges from 8 to less than 12 inches long and
are best played with mallets. All Boomwhackers®
are 1 ¾ in. diameter, a comfortable size for
almost any age to hold. Just whack them on
almost anything and—boom! —you’re making music!

Each set comes with
an instruction manual and there are color-coded songbooks that help everyone learn
to read music and play songs. The Octavator™ Tube Caps, which are placed
on the end of the Boomwhackers® tube, lower the tone by an octave (eight
notes). Placing the cap on higher octave
tubes creates the same tones as the bass octave tubes, and putting it on the bass
octave tubes takes it down another octave, making a total 3½-octave range possible.
The Boomophone™ XTS Whack Pack features the essentials
– the popular 8-note Boomwhackers® C Major Diatonic Scale,
mallets, an Octavator™ Tube Cap and a color-coded songbook, all conveniently
wrapped up a in a XyloTote™ Tube Holder
which makes it a cinch for
all to carry their instruments and play them!
About Boomwhackers® and Whacky Music, Inc.: Whacky Music, Inc. was formed in 1998 and introduced Boomwhackers® Musical Tubes
to both the musical instrument and educational toy markets. Boomwhackers®
came about when Whacky Music, Inc.,
president Craig Ramsell was recycling a cardboard gift-wrap
tube that was longer than allowed for curbside pickup. He cut the tube in two and played both pieces
on his thighs and whack! – Boomwhackers®
were born. Now, the company has dozens
of musical tubes and accessories for all ages to enjoy. For more information about Boomwhackers®, please visit www.boomwhackers.com or call 928-282-3860.
