Since vacuum pumps for wine bottles first hit the market, consumers have been frustrated with standardized pumps that don’t show whether or not you’ve pumped enough vacuum to preserve the wine or whether or not the vacuum has held when you reopen the bottle. Now, with the new V-Gauge Wine Preserver from Metrokane, you simply pump until you reach the “red zone” on the gauge to know you’ve reached the necessary vacuum. Later, that “red zone” gauge will let you know that your wine has been preserved.
